Great Family Friendly Space

Building work September 2018

As of the week commencing the 3rd of September we will be carrying out building work onsite. Unfortunately from this date we will not be able to take bookings for electric tent pitches until the 2019 season. All our other electric pitches will be available as normal. Some facilities may be limited, the toilet block and Hayloft Cafe will be open. The site will close on Sunday the 14th of October 2018 and reopen in March 2019.

Castlerigg Farm Campsite

Camping

Apart from the elevated position with great views over Derwent Water, nearby Bassenthwaite Lake and the surrounding valleys, our campsite is large, relatively level and offers loads of space for couples and families that like to camp. Add to that our clean facilities, shop, onsite cafe and proximity to Keswick and you could find it hard to find a better location than this.

Welcome

Castlerigg Farm Camping and Caravan Site is in a particularly beautiful part of the Lake District, away from the noise of towns and traffic, and an ideal location for walking and relaxing.

With exceptional panoramic views of the surrounding fells, the site looks down towards Derwent Water and in the distance Bassenthwaite Lake. Keswick town is approximately a 25 minute walk down through the woods or a 5 minute drive by car.

We are a family site, catering for families and couples so are not suitable for noisy groups of any sort. For the consideration of all campers we have a rule of silence after 10.30 pm so everyone should get a good nights sleep.
