Castlerigg Farm Camping and Caravan Site is in a particularly beautiful part of the Lake District, away from the noise of towns and traffic, and an ideal location for walking and relaxing.
With exceptional panoramic views of the surrounding fells, the site looks down towards Derwent Water and, in the distance, Bassenthwaite Lake. Keswick town is approximately a 25 minute walk down through the woods or a 5 minute drive by car.
We are a family site that caters for families, couples and singles. Therefore, we do not accept groups of any sort. For the consideration of all campers, we have a rule of silence after 10.30 pm so everyone should get a good night’s sleep.

Static Van Hire.. we can now offer a spacious, fully furnished and well-equipped 4-berth static caravan which is situated adjacent to our touring park and is absolutely perfect for families, couples or singles looking to enjoy and explore the Lake district. Click HERE to fnd out more.
We offer excellent site facilities
We apologise for the disruption to previous visitors for all the building work that has been carried out but we have finally finished. The shop, reception and all of the guest facilities have been recently brought fully up-to-date.

Camping
Apart from the elevated position with great views over Derwent Water, nearby Bassenthwaite Lake and the surrounding valleys, our campsite is large, relatively level and offers loads of space for couples, families and singles that like to camp. Add to that our clean facilities, shop and proximity to Keswick and you could find it hard to find a better location than this.
Caravans & Motor Homes
Great rural, elevated, location yet convenient for Keswick (5 mins by car), easy to get to from almost anywhere in the UK (16 miles from the M6), lots of space for everyone and all the usual facilities you would expect.
