The hayloft accommodation is new for 2026. The building started life as a hay barn. In 2007, the barn was turned into the popular hayloft café, unfortunately, due to covid closures, the barn stood empty for a couple of years. It has now been renovated into a charming holiday accommodation.
The converted barn blends rustic charm with modern comfort. Still full of character, the property features original details with its Lakeland stone walls and wooden beams. It also has a log burning fireplace to relax Infront of after a long day of exploring the Lake district.

Smoking is not allowed inside the property.
Due to The Hayloft being situated on the grounds of a quiet farm/campsite, single sex groups are not permitted.
There is also a silence policy from 10.30pm on the site.
Water filtration system: being in a relatively rural location the water supply for the Hayloft can have a slight discolouration, this is because it comes directly off the fells and is then treated by a special filtration system and UV light. Many rural properties in the area use this sytem and it is perfectly safe to drink – it can just be a little concerning if you’re not aware of it.
