Terms and Conditions

By making a Booking you are agreeing to the Terms and Conditions, and you agree to adhere to the Site Policy.

BOOKING CONDITIONS for Caravans, Motohomes and Tents 

    1. The minimum reservation term for an electric pitch over a Bank Holiday weekend is 4 nights (except the first May bank holiday which is 3 nights)
    2. Maximum stay length is 21 days.
    3. 1 unit/tent per pitch
    4. No groups of more than 4 adults (even in separate units, and no all male or female parties) any groups that forms on the site may be asked to leave without a refund.
    5. We cannot accept anyone under the age of 18 unless accompanied by a parent or guardian
    6. The balance for all bookings must be paid 14 days prior to arrival.
    7. If the final balance is not paid before the 14 days prior to arrival, we are entitled to cancel your booking, or automatically take the remaining balance for you booking if we have not been able to contact you.
    8. If you do not contact us in advance to let us know you will not be arriving on your selected arrival date and prior arrangements have not been made, we will hold the booking for 24 hours while we endeavour to make contact with you. If we have not received a responce  we have the right to cancel your booking, no refunds will be given
    9. The price listed includes V.A.T
    10. Price increases will be published on or before the 5th of January of that year, bookings made in the previous year are subject to the price increase for the year booked.
    11. All booking fees are non-refundable once made.
    12. Booking fees are 30% of the total payment or 1 night, which is required at the time of booking, unless your stay is within 14 days then full payment is required, booking fees are non refundable.
    13. We do not give refunds for stays which are cut short by a guest for any reason, including inclement weather.
    14. We accept bookings for arrival on any day of the week and will try our best to meet any request for specific pitches. However, this cannot be guaranteed.
    15. Tents that are booked for longer than 7 nights need to be moved to a separate area of the pitch every 7 days.
    16. All caravan, motor home and camper van prices include an awning, Awnings must have a breathable groundsheet..
    17. No tents are permitted on the caravan/motorhome pitches even if used instead of an awning.
    18. If you have a continental caravan or motorhome you will have to face forward on the pitches, a motor mover will be required for caravans.
    19. Our site is classed as gently sloping, levelling blocks may be required.
    20. Check in is from 12.00 pm – 9.30 pm April to October and 12pm to 8pm November to March (earlier or later check in is by prior arrangement only)
    21. All pitches must be vacated by 11.30 am on day of departure (late check out may incur an extra cost).
    22. All day visitors must check in at our reception, before entering the site, and must depart the site by 9.30pm
    23. We reserve the right to refuse entry, cancel a booking or ask you leave (without a refund) if in the opinion of the management or staff a booking has been made using false information or the behaviour of an individual or individuals may compromise the enjoyment or safety of another visitor or staff member.
    24. In placing your booking, you agree that if a dispute or disagreement occurs, the decision of the management or staff in settling any such dispute or disagreement is final.

     

    Booking conditions for the Static Caravan and Hayloft Accommodation

    1. Minimum stay is 4 nights, 
    2. Maximum length of stay is 21 days
    3. The static caravan and Hayloft Accommodation is is suitable for a maximum of 2 adults and 2 children or 4 adults (please read the description on the static caravan, and Hayloft Accommodation page for information on bed sizes) We cater for Family’s, Singles and couples only, we do not allow groups.
    4. Under 18 are not permitted to use this accommodation unless with a parent or guardian.
    5. Dogs are not permitted in the Static Caravan.
    6. Maximum of 2 dogs are allowed in the hayloft accommodation but are not permitted upstairs.
    7. There is parking for 1 car per accommodation 
    8. The Balance for bookings must be paid 14 days prior to arrival.
    9. If the final balance is not paid before the 14 days prior to arrival, we are entitled to cancel your booking, or automatically take the remaining balance for your booking if we have not been able to contact you.
    10. If you do not contact us in advance to let us know you will be not arriving on your selected arrival date, we will hold the booking for 24 hours, we will endeavour to make contact with you. If we have not received a response 24 hours after your check in time we have the right to cancel your booking, no refunds will be given.

    15. A refundable secruity deposit is required to be paid at the time of the final payment, this will be released back to you within 5 working days after final checks Static caravan £100 Hayloft accommodation £150.
    16. Any damage and breakages must be reported and paid for.
    17. We do not give refunds for stays cut short by a guest for any reason including but not limited to inclement weather.
    18. Check in is from 3pm to 9.30pm.
    19. Check out time is 10am.
    20. Any day visitors must check in at reception and must depart by 9.30pm.
    21. We reserve the right to refuse entry, cancel a booking or ask you to leave (without a refund) if in the opinion of the management or staff, a booking has been made using false information or the behaviour of an individual or individuals may compromise the enjoyment or safety of other visitors or staff members.

    Cancelations

    1. In agreeing to make a Booking you acknowledge that you have read and fully understood the following terms and conditions and that you expressly consent and agree to be bound by the Terms and all applicable laws and regulations that govern the Website.
    2. You may cancel your booking at any time. Cancelations will be effective on the date it is received by us.
    3. If you wish to cancel your booking over 14 days before your holiday, we will refund any monies paid less your booking fee (Please note – if you have taken out booking protection you will need to contact x cover after receiving the cancellation email from ourselves, if they refuse your claim we will refund any monies paid less your booking fee once the required paperwork has been received , or transfer your booking to another time within a year if there is availability to do so, (price increases will apply if the transfer of the date falls into the next year). 
    4. If you cancel within 14 days of your holiday all monies will automatically be lost. We strongly advise taking out your own travel insurance.
    5. Castlerigg farm camping and caravan site are not liable for refunds or expenses you incur in the event they are prevented from fulfilling your Booking because of circumstances beyond their control. Such circumstances shall include (but not be limited to) war, terrorism, riots or civil unrest, industrial action, flooding, natural disaster, epidemics, health risks or such similar events (“Force Majeure”). We recommend that you have adequate holiday insurance in place to cover this.
    6. If we are unable to provide the booked holiday and must cancel before it is due to start you are entitled to a full refund.

    This does not apply in the case of force majeure in these circumstances a voucher will be offered.

    LIABILITY

    Liability is not accepted by Castlerigg Farm Camping and Caravan site to any person visiting, for any personal injury, loss or damage to any property including, motor vehicles and personal effects, however caused or sustained.

    We reserve the right to ask guests who contravene these terms and conditions or, who in any other way are behaving in a manner likely to cause distress or nuisance to other visitors, to leave the site immediately. In these circumstances the holiday ceases and we shall not be liable for any extra costs incurred by you.
